Paula's Melin Tregwynt journey story is very special as she is the third generation of her family to work for the bsuiness

Holly works in the mill so you may have seen her friendly face around the site. One of our newer recruits she loves being a part of our amazing mill team, who are responsible for creating the beautiful textiles that we're known for. 

Sandra first came to us in 2013 as a cook in the mill cafe, then moved over to the mill shop where she now sells, takes orders and keeps the place very tidy. When Daf’s away she also cuts up our fabrics to make blankets, throws and cushions to order.

Geoff had always been a big part of the Melin Tregwynt team after he joined us in 2005. He was our mill manager for 12 years and then from 2017 he became the site/maintenance manager until his retirement in 2023. 

Sean first came to us around 2011 as a barista in the cafe, then got interested in what went on in the mill and now works there, setting up the machines, weaving and beaming off.

He was recently elected a trustee director in our new EOT (employee owned trust)

The fourth Trefin Classic Car event was held on Saturday 10th Sept and they stopped at Melin Tregwynt for a coffee break.

A wonderful mix of beautiful cars took part with their proud owners and great fun was had by all including those many people along the route who came out to cheer them on.

Katherine joined us in 2014, starting work in the cafe and moving to the mill from 2015 onwards. 

When she’s not working Katherine is a keen lepidopterist who studies moths and butterflies and has started a survey of butterflies that she’s observed in our new wildflower meadow, here at the mill.

Responsible for getting all of our customer orders out on time, he's the man who kept all the internet orders flowing out during lockdown. We couldn’t have done it without him…

In May 2022 Ian became a director of our new Employee Ownership Trust but, for personal reasons, he has now left Melin Tregwynt.

Louise manages the shop & café here and all our visitors both new and regular appreciate her friendly face and warm welcome. 

Louise celebrated 10 years at the mill in January 2023 and has became a director of the new Employee Ownership Trust in May 2022. 

This month features Dafydd who looks after our fabric stock, cutting the rolls to make blankets, throws and cushions. He’s also a keen photographer and takes pictures of the finished products for our website.

Our second chat is with James who became our mill manager, after Geoff Phillips retired. Now like Geoff before him he has left his role as mill manager and become our site maintenance manager.
