Inspired by a webinar which showcased the creative possibilities of recycled materials and highlighted how brands and manufacturers could integrate these practices into circular business models, we have developed our ‘Adfer’, hand-knit recycled yarn.

Our Forest Winter blankets were chosen for the bedrooms and blend easy, pared-back comfort, with an earthy palette and tactile finish that harmonise perfectly with the breathtaking mountain views.

Last year we worked with TOAST to create a special edition of our Knot Garden design, which they featured in their printed catalogue, and online.

This year the collaboration has continued with some more colours developed especially for Toast. They have also written a lovely blog about the mill, its history and products, featuring the special products we’ve made for them. 

A number of keen eyed supporters have spotted our fabrics on display in the Luxury and power: Persia to Greece  exhibition which which runs from 4th May to 13th August 2023 at the British Museum

In 2012, as part of the Cultural Olympiad, Adain Avion, a mobile art space created from a DC-9 Aeroplane, ably captained by Marc Rees and his team, travelled across Wales. To mark the event and to celebrate 100 years of our family company we produced a special fabric.

In 2015 Wales’ two national theatre companies - National Theatre Wales and Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru - teamed up for the very first time, with one of the country’s leading artists, Marc Rees, and broadcaster S4C to bring to life the story of the 150 Welsh men, women and children who settled in Patagonia in 1865, and the lives of their descendants today.

Melin Tregwynt was asked to create a fabric for the performance uniting Welsh & South American styles. Patrwm Patagonia inspired by the story of those Welsh pioneers who settled in South America 150 years ago.

Earlier this year Paolo Carzana was awarded the British Fashion Council’s NEWGEN initiative award to show at London Fashion Week in September.

We supported Paolo with fabric when he was a student, so he felt this would be an amazing opportunity to bring Melin Tregwynt into high end fashion with his collection.

My name is Molly Gregory, a women’s wear knit gradate from Kingston School of Art, where I studied fashion design. My final collection ‘Y Cymoedd’ took inspiration from the rich history of Wales. 

The colour pallet of my work has drawn its inspiration from Melin Tregwynt Welsh tapestry which holds the significant heritage of Wales within its designs.

Back in 2019 ‘Caru Canu’ was a series of animated Welsh nursery rhymes which launched on Cyw, S4C and YouTube. 

The series proved very popular and now the songs have been combined with stories to create a new series – Caru Canu a Stori - and here is a version especially for Christmas
