The outcome is our pilot Welsh wool blanket collection, celebrating three traditional Melin Tregwynt designs, in colourways inspired by our beautiful historic Welsh landscapes.

Read moreIn 2015 Wales’ two national theatre companies - National Theatre Wales and Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru - teamed up for the very first time, with one of the country’s leading artists, Marc Rees, and broadcaster S4C to bring to life the story of the 150 Welsh men, women and children who settled in Patagonia in 1865, and the lives of their descendants today.
Melin Tregwynt was asked to create a fabric for the performance uniting Welsh & South American styles. Patrwm Patagonia inspired by the story of those Welsh pioneers who settled in South America 150 years ago.

Earlier this year Paolo Carzana was awarded the British Fashion Council’s NEWGEN initiative award to show at London Fashion Week in September.
We supported Paolo with fabric when he was a student, so he felt this would be an amazing opportunity to bring Melin Tregwynt into high end fashion with his collection.

My name is Molly Gregory, a women’s wear knit gradate from Kingston School of Art, where I studied fashion design. My final collection ‘Y Cymoedd’ took inspiration from the rich history of Wales.
The colour pallet of my work has drawn its inspiration from Melin Tregwynt Welsh tapestry which holds the significant heritage of Wales within its designs.
