Nant Gwrtheyrn

Nant Gwrtheyrn - or “the Nant” as it is often called – is home to the National Welsh Language and Heritage Centre on the northern coast of the Llyn Peninsula in north Wales. Nant Gwrtheyrn is managed by Ymddiriedoleath Nant Gwrtheyrn, a registered charity, and celebrates 40 years in 2018.

As part of the celebrations we have collaborated with Nant Gwrtheyrn to create an exclusive blanket based on our 1960’s original Welsh tapestry design ‘Vintage Star’.

Mae Nant Gwrtheyrn neu “y Nant” fel y’i gelwir ar lafar gwlad, yn le hudolus wedi’i leoli mewn hen bentref chwarelyddol ar arfordir gogleddol Penhryn Llŷn yng ngogledd Cymru. Mae Nant Gwrtheyrn yn elusen gofrestredig sy’n dal i gael ei reoli gan Ymddiriedolaeth Nant Gwrtheyrn.

Fel rhan o ddathliadau 40 mlynedd, mae ni wedi cydweithio â thîm y Nant i greu carthen unigryw yn seiliedig ar batrwm traddodiadol o’r 60au, patrwm yn ‘Hen Seren’

We have created a blanket from pure New Wool, using a mixture of subtle colours of the sky, sea and land found in Nant. The colours show the richness of Wales and its language.
