Welsh Wool Collection
We are excited to introduce our limited-edition Welsh wool collection.
Working over the last three years, Melin Tregwynt joined experts and enthusiasts from across our industry for the Gwnaed  Gwlan/Made with Wool project, to reestablish a commercial supply chain for Welsh grown wool, suitable for modern textiles.
The seven-fabric pilot collection celebrates three traditional Melin Tregwynt designs, in colourways inspired by our beautiful historic Welsh landscapes. All woven in wonderful 100% Welsh wool and, as ever, Woven in Wales.
Dylan – from the Welsh for ‘great tide’; the name of a Welsh sea-god from the Mabinogion.
Melyn Mair – Welsh for ‘marigold’; cheerful blooms with many beneficial uses across the ages.
Llwyd – Welsh for ‘grey’; name of Brenin Llwyd - the Grey King of Welsh folklore - haunting the mists of Welsh mountain tops.
Glyn – Welsh for ‘valley’; a popular name throughout Welsh history paying homage to connection with the land.
