This year Melin Tregwynt are celebrating 100 years of weaving, Our family business was founded in May 1912 when Henry Griffiths, my grandfather bought Tregwynt Mill for £760.

Earlier this year we were privileged to be invited to meet Prince Charles at his Highgrove home in March and since then we’ve had a number of events planned to celebrate this milestone year.

We’ve been back from Milan some weeks now and I’ve been too busy to update the blog. but now here are some images from our time in Milan. I think the woman on the scooter embodies the style of the city. Enjoy !!!

Last year Homes & Gardens magazine commissioned talented photographer Alun Callender to head West into the beautiful Pembrokeshire landscape to visit us here at Melin Tregwynt.

He spent the day photographing the mill and many of us who work here. Here are some of his images.

Adain Avion

Adain Avion is a mobile art space created from the fuselage of a DC-9 airplane. This year the Welsh artist Marc Rees has captained the art space through a series of events in venues across Wales as part of the Cultural Olympiad

In this centenary year, we’re started doing a lot of restoration work at the mill. This will take some time but we also decided to completely re-vamp our mill leaflet. This was a group effort using a mixture of “talents” from Steve Lovett, Helene Dolley and yours truly.
