Back in March 2008 we were approached by Waitrose and asked to make the largest picnic rug in the world for an advert they were shooting in April.

We managed to weave this rug which is 40 meters x 44 meters in the three weeks available and it is now in the Guinness Book of Records

I turned over to BBC1 and saw our cushions on The Apprentice.Our cushions have been used in the Apprentice House for the last two years. We’ve certainly lasted longer than the candidates.

Then over to BBC2 for The Apprentice - Your fired and there we were again. Blanket coverage for a Thursday night.

I love this. It’s so quirky, full of fun and so Japanese. They really enjoy their advertising and love to create something unusual that makes you look twice. It reminds me of the film the Usual Suspects.

We’ve been invited to the launch of Muji Found in Japan. To be asked to supply them with a collection of fabrics based on traditional Welsh doublecloth came as a bit of a shock. They have developed a new concept called Muji Found. which will initially be limited to Japan.

It’s Monday and today we have a film crew here at the mill, filming a documentary for the BBC. We’ve been filmed before, but the reason the BBC are here today is that we’re getting a visit from some of our Japanese customers.
