"Pwdin Dolig" Festive Blanket

Christmas has come early for fans of Llaeth Y Llan and Melin Tregwynt.

Llaeth y Llan have launched a limited edition Christmas Pudding Yogurt alongside a bespoke Melin Tregwynt traditional blanket and pillow set ahead of Christmas preparations.

Llaeth y Llan Christmas Pudding packaging took inspiration from traditional Welsh blanket pattern ‘Caernarfon’ widely used in the Welsh Woollen Mill industry. The company have applied contemporary adaptions and added a unique brown and red colour scheme to represent the season and flavour. The limited edition flavour sits alongside the core range of Llaeth y Llan yogurt which have their own patterns.

To coincide with the yogurt on sale in stores throughout Wales, the design on the pots has been commissioned into a highly collectable limited run of Welsh blankets and pillows woven here at Melin Tregwynt.

Each blanket and pillow has been finished by hand, and each piece includes a label detailing the collaboration between the two brands. The intention is that the throws and pillows are sold as sets, the rare sets will be sold over ten locations throughout Wales. In addition to the exclusive stockist list, Llaeth Y Llan will be selling them at the Dairy, the Conwy Feast and the Royal Welsh Winter Fair. All profits from Llaeth Y Llan’s sales will be going to the Welsh Air Ambulance Charity.

The family are big fans of Welsh blankets, and that’s why our branding is influenced by them, but for our first limited edition flavour we thought the occasion deserves something really special. Working with Melin Tregwynt has been amazing; seeing the process from start to finish, it’s really given us a greater appreciation of the time and skill involved in creating Welsh blankets
