The summer solstice marking the first day of summer, fell on Friday 21 June. The solstice has been celebrated for thousands of years at the ancient monument of Stonehenge.
The very large standing stones at Stonehenge are of 'sarsen', a local sandstone, but the smaller ones, known as 'bluestones', come from the Preseli hills in Pembrokeshire. They were placed there during the third phase of construction at Stonehenge around 2300 BC.
So this month to celebrate the arrival of summer we’re offering you 30% off our Knot Garden in Bluestone throw.
Each month we feature a different fabric, so keep an eye out for your favorites in the next few months.
