Our next pop-up exhibition is the work of Tony Kitchell who has been living and painting in St.Davids, Pembrokeshire since 1981. This celebrates Pembrokeshire’s coast and sea life and is opening during Pembrokeshire Fish Week.

Following the tide - a trip along the tidal edge of North Pembrokeshire covers the coast, along the whole tidal edge of the county from the Cleddau to the Teifi. The exhibition of oil paintings, produced en plein air, is in two parts, Cleddau to St. Davids Head and from there north to the river Teifi on the boundary of Ceredigion.

The exhibition will open on June 23rd at 2.00pm.

I have tried to select locations that represent the diversity of landscape and human interaction along this beautiful shoreline. Most of the paintings have a visual link to at least one other location and as reference to the tidal influence, each painting title has as a subtext, the tide time difference from Milford Haven. A map of Pembrokeshire will indicate the location and orientation of each painting to be a help in unifying the separate works as a whole piece.
